I am just curious how much important Level 2 CE for competitive specialty? Say I made Level 1 500 then 640 for Level 2. Does it boost may chance for Rad or Ortho even though Level 1 score is weak? I also do audition rotations at the places where they offer residency.

Thanks

audition rotations >>>>>>>>>>> board scores

you can have a 405 on both parts and if you work hard and they love you, then those scores don't matter. (except there are a few ortho programs (2-3 out of 30+) that only want board scores...so you just avoid those in that situation then)

Thanks for the encouragement! May I ask the name of those 2-3 programs? you can PM me if you feel like.

Thanks again!

what exactly is expected on the Audition rotations?

Very good attitude
First one in, last one out
Does all of the scut work (well it's not scut if they do teach you things)
Brings the coffee for the residents
knows the hierarchy
Assertive without being disruptive

Knows how to round on patients alone
Knows all of the DDx, the steps in management
Knows a lot of zebras

anything else?
