I have the impression that most college freshmen will begin calculus I or statistics. Is taking pre-calculus at a community college fine and then moving up to statistics the following semester fine?

I seriously doubt it. If your MCAT and GPA are good, then it shouldn't matter. Plus, it was a long time ago!

I started with high school algebra first semester at community college and have 3 II this cycle. Taking it won't have a negative impact on your application. Getting less than a B in it though will have a negative impact.

I had to restart my math from math 60, which is high school algebra. Succeeding in math classes shows that you can think logically.

I started with "college algebra I" despite testing into calc I because I had switched to nursing and that's all that was required of the BSN. I showed up to class for exams only and got an A. I never really thought about how that would reflect, but I've always assumed an A is an A.
