for something on our application? I have something that really needs to be explained and as I remember reading somewhere, I think pharmcas only provides the essay option for why pharmacy right? Or do they provide an option to explain things? I know they will probably ask about anything in the interview, but I would like to explain it in some sort of essay while they're looking at my file so I'd even be able to get the interview...would that be possible?

You will have an opportunity to address it in your supplementals.

Sometimes they have areas in the supplemental applications for you to expand on extenuating circumstances.

For example, on the UCSF supp.

Alright bad news...two of my instate schools, one public and one private don't have supplementals 🙁 Should I send a letter with a check or is that not good? Or maybe I should try to incorporate it slightly in my PS? I don't want to bring down the PS though like with bringing up negativity..plus there isn't enough room... :S would it be very bad to email admissions?

could you guys tell me if it's worth that? basically the issue is that I went to a university out of high school during an awful time..my dad was being charged with abuse and it was just really bad. my mom was really temperamental and told me I basically had to go to this school I didn't want to. I had no friends, my family left overseas for a while, so they left me all by myself. my parents didn't like me either because I was the subject of the court charges. and so I got really depressed and withdrew and got 7 Ws from this school without anything else at all from it. it's a highly rated state school and I withdrew from mainly upper level biology courses. I went to another 4 year though with more diversity etc and I'm doing great and am contemplating finishing a biology degree. So is it worth emailing admissions for that?

Is there a chance that you'll go back to your first school to retake the 7 W's?

The OP has a good point. How would one explain these scenarios for schools that require no supplementals? Explaining it in the personal statement is odd since you are expressing why you want to be a pharmacist and there is never enough room for it. 😕
