Can you apply to a post-bacc program and dental school at the same time?

I'm applying for dental school next year but will be done with my undergrad by then so I have a year or so gap doing whatever I want and waiting to see if I get accepted.

Debating if I should do a post-bacc or go into a dental assisting program and work instead?
Would I be able to even apply to a post-bacc and dental school at the same time? It'll be my first time applying to dental school.

The point of a post bacc is to improve your stats n LORs. If u apply to dental school without the post bacc stats then ur at a slight disadvantage cause you can't use those letters n new gpa. But it's worth it IMO cause you may possibly get in n can just update admission committees with ur masters stuff

I was thinking IF I don't get it, when I reapply the next round I'll have the masters done. Also, I guess i can mention it in interviews and say I'm doing it to prepare myself for dental school since I have a year gap.

The bad thing about this is the money...

Still torn between Dental assistant program or a post bacc. My gpa is well... Alright. So I'm a little worried about not getting accepted.

I'd say if you're really that worried, go ahead and start doing the post-bacc. This way you can atleast use the grades as an academic update on AADSAS, say if you are waitlisted on a school.
I'm not sure because I don't know your exact stats? Even then I can't really say.
I always believe in having a safety net though, so why not?
