This summer I decided to apply to DO school. I am a health science major at my school which is basically pre-physical therapy but I changed my mind really late (junior year). I just took summer organic chemistry, shadowed several DO's, and I am taking the MCAT in a few weeks on August 21.

Should I fill out my application through AACOMAS now and send my application with my MCAT score pending?

Should I wait until I recieve my score? Thanks

Absolutely!!!! they will get your MCAT score a day or two after they are released. Dont delay your app for the MCAT, it would be a big mistake.

PS I was a HS major, so don't sweat that.....like I did 😉

i filled mine out, indicated when i was taking it and have my transcripts sent.

right now i am :xf: that they start the verification process before they receive my mcat score...but i don't know.

👍 Totally agree with this especially since AACOMAS is notoriously slow for getting your application verified. Waiting to apply because your MCAT score hasn't been released would automatically set you back at least 6 weeks while you are being verified.
