Can you get a discount on braces in dental school?

I was wondering if you can get a discount on braces while in dental school since youre a student on the school? I need some braces but at a discount or next to nothing? If you know please let me know. Thanks

You could probably get better responses posting this in the dental forum.

However I know that dental students do work on their friends (saw it first had during a tour). My guess is they just had to pay for materials, which wouldn’t be all that bad.

As far as braces go, you could try and get a hookup from an Ortho student at your school. Also, services at a dental school are cheaper than at a private practice. I’m wondering what the school’s regular prices would be through the clinic.

From personal experience you probably want to pay the money for a good ortho treatment plan. With the complexity of your TMJ and bite and arch, to get "discount ortho work" will probably mess up your face even more than it already is.
