Can you get an interview if one or more of your recs

aren't in the file yet? I was just wondering if it's happened before, if one of my recommenders were to be a little late or something. Has anybody had a letter or so missing and still received an interview invite? Thanks in advance

I've seen notices on a couple school websites that applicants wouldn't even be evaluated until everything required was in.

When I went to my interview, 2 of 3 recommendations were received by the registrar.

After the interview, the registrar informed me that the last recommendation letter had come in few days before my interview.

I had an issue with one of my recommenders, so I kept the school updated on what was going on as I talked to the professor, and they were EXTREMELY understanding. They extended my LOR deadline by a couple weeks to give the professor time, and I still got an interview, and I got accepted 🙂
Don't be afraid to call admissions and explain your situation and see what they can do.
