Can you submit identical update letters to multiple schools, or does each one need to be unique?

I am sending an update with my grades and recent ECs, and include one sentence about my interest in each school. Is it okay if each update is identical except for the one sentence about each school? Don't want the schools to communicate and get upset that they all got very similar updates.

I'm 99% sure they are all fine with an identical update.

Just waiting for an ADCOM now to verify my suspicions.

EDIT: If you're doing letter of intents, or something along those lines, then it should probably be more school specific.

I would tailor the interest part to the school more. The update part being identical is fine but each letter should convey the "why is this important for this school" message.

Omit the statements of interest. You haven't withdrawn your application, so they assume you're still interested.

If, on the other hand, you mean a sentence stating intent, i.e., "accept me and I'll turn down all other offers to matriculate with you," then keep in mind that schools assume all such statements to be lies, and the fact that applicants would send such statements to multiple schools is precisely why they're skeptical.

What grade/EC updates are you planning to send?

If you can manage to squeeze in something about how you would be a good fit for the school and vice versa, you can take the opportunity to do so, but it's not like all the schools pool together their correspondences and compare them.

It's like the Bachelor. Everyone knows he said "i love you" to other contestants. Last sentence with the correct school name is fine.
