Can you submit letters of rec to AMCAS wayyyy in advance?

Long story short, I planned on applying this summer and got everything in order including my letters of rec. A poor MCAT score is now making me question applying. I just graduated, so I have letters of rec from professors and such and they have already written them. If I assign the letter and have them submit it to AMCAS, will it still be there next cycle?

They would need to be re-uploaded for a new cycle.
