Can someone please help me...I am totally freaking out!

I go to a Canadian University where we receive both percent and letter grades (based on the Canadian system). With these grades I have a pretty decent GPA (around the average for people accepted to OD). However, when I convert my percent grades to the letter grades based on the American system, I get a totally sub-par GPA! I know that someone had suggested on a previous post to use the OMSAS scale, but I am afraid that if I do that, when I do send my transcripts to an agency for a credential review, they will use the American system and I will be screwed.

Anyone who has already had their transcripts reviews, can you please clarify this for me. Becasue if this is the case, then you would need a 4.00 Canadian GPA to get into an American school, which is totally insane!

Thanks for your help.

whatever school you apply to will use your university's transcript legend, which is usually on the reverse side of the transcript, to calculate you GPA. Most likely it is identical to the OMSAS scale.
