Hey everyone!!! I just finished my third year at the University of Toronto. I'm a human bio major and I'm really interested in applying to American optometry schools, but I'm a little confused.
Lets say I got C+ in a course which is essentially equivalent to a 67-69 in Canada. In the states however according to optomcas, that's equivalent to a high 70. A high 70 however in Canada would be a B+.
So UofT transcripts normally give you letter grades. My questions is, when you're inputting grades into optomcas, would they essentially use the C+ on your transcript and consider you at their high 70 level instead of a high 60? So would we be bumped a letter grade?
Also, many prereqs must be at a C- level but like I said, its a 10% difference. So do they need a 60, or a 70 from me?
I might just be dumb for not understanding this lol but any clarification would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!!
