Hey,

So, I'm writing the Canadian DAT on Feb 19 to apply for next cycle. However, I am not applying to any Canadian schools, only US.

When do I register with the AADSAS..before I write the test or after ?
and do I tell the Canadian Dental Association to send my scores to the American Dental Association.

Obviously, many Canadians on this board have gone through this. Can you please give me the details of the application process for a Canadian.

u've got a good gpa, u should at LEAST apply to 1 or 2 canadian schools!

well u should register now, to see what the application looks like..have a feel for it, because the 2006 cycle probably wont open up till mid may.

DAT scores are sent DIRECTLY to the schools u're applying to.

just do eveything EARLY as in, may/june. sept is NOT eaRLY..I thought i was in good time..since some deadlines r jan/feb/mar...but i was sooo wrong..sooo wrong

Afterwards, I guess I need to go to all of the schools websites and download applications, or what ?

Or do I just have the association send my DAT scores, and ask my univ to forward my transcripts. ?

AADSAS = Associated American Dental Schools Application Service
go to adea.org they have their full list of associated schools who use the service

you MUST SEND DAT SCORES DIRECTLY TO EACH UNIVERSITY. tick all the boxes (in the canadian DAT form) of the schools u want to apply to.

transcripts from your uni are sent to AADSAS.

go and look @ the AADSAS webpage, all the info is there.
