I'm wondering if anyone could provide me with some insight/direction as to what I should do, or where I should apply.. if at all.
I'm a canadian applicant, female, URM (african background). I'm just about to finish a microbi degree in Canada, so I would be applying as an international student.

I had a pretty rough first 2 years.. about a 2.2 GPA. I got my act together and got around 3.75 PGA for the last 3 terms but my over all GPA is still around 2.9-3.0. My core classes, 1st year bio, physics and math marks are sub-par (C+'s, C's mostly) but the classes I excelled in during my last few terms included mainly biochemistry, biology, microbiology and some chemistry (but not the prerequisites, just upper level courses in those subjects)

Any suggestions would greatly appreciated!

WHen are you planning to apply and have you taken the DAT yet?

Im regisered to take the DAT sept 8th, Ive got most of my application complete, Ill probably have it ready in the next 2 weeks.

I also have some research experience and quite a bit of community work/shadowing experience if that counts for anything.

thx!

I think you probably need to boost your GPA and its hard to say anything without your DAT. Post again after your DAT is up.
