Good morning!

Just wanted to know how this cycle has been for my fellow Canadians and if any of you have heard anything back from any schools / which schools you have applied to!

Haha no worries at all. It’s nice to connect with others in the same boat. Ohhh awesome, congrats. When did you schedule it? UDM is great, I have a buddy there Thats D2. I’m hoping to hear from them soon. I submitted my complete application around 7/20. Graduate from UOfT but currently doing physics and English (wasn’t planning on applying to the states during my bachelors). I assume that may be the case why I haven’t heard yet lol.

Applied to Buffalo, UPenn, Temple, Pitt, BU, Tufts, Case, Touro, NYU, Rutgers, Columbia, Marquette.
Received an interview for Touro, havent heard anything else.

congrats!! Touro is one of my top schools as well so just patiently waiting on them. May I ask what your stats were?

applied to uoft and western last year and didn’t get in... not trying this year
Why not? Western would still be worth a shot tbh. It really depends on the incoming class. I remember when I applied to Western before I didn't get an interview and didn't change anything the next year and got an interview but was high-waitlisted and never made it off. But this year for Western the waitlist cleared thru most of the normal waitlist. You never know what could happen.

If you don’t mind me asking, how competitive were your stats? I’m just trying to gauge whether or not applying to Western is worth the time/money.

Stats were only around 3.8ish (top 2 years for Western) and 23 AA on the DAT w/o any major ECs (like publications).

OGPA: 3.53, SGPA:3.50
Canadian DAT AA: 25 PAT: 24 RC: 23 Bio: 24 Chem: 30 TS: 26
Approx 110 hours of shadowing

Just curious, why is Touro one of your top choices? I've read some good things about it but there is some skepticism about how new it is.

from what I've heard is the technology is top notch and since they aren't as "picky" with choosing those with higher stats as opposed to those with lower stats. And also the whole living in New York plays a big factor to me as I visit NY every year to see family and overall love the experience out there.

I have applied to 16 schools and so far heard back from Minnesota, Case, UDM, MWU-AZ, Pitts, NOVA, NYU, and Rutgers. But it would be nice to hear back from Buffalo. I've heard from a D3 at Buffalo that the school sends out interviews at different dates for ISS, OSS, and internationals.

wow, congrats! That’s awesome. Where else did you apply to?

has anyone heard back from michigan or boston? 🙂

I'm Canadian and interviewed at Michigan last week! It was a really nice campus, and everyone was very friendly 🙂
congrats! when did you hear back from them? 🙂 and did ur status ever change from application complete?

Just got the interview invitation from Buffalo a few hours ago. Thank god.
You submitted first day and you’re just hearing back now? I’ve heard Buff holds back on sending acceptances to Canadians until after Canadian schools send out theirs - any idea if this is the trend for interviews as well?

I have no idea, but another friend of mine who is also Canadian also heard back from Buffalo today. I've heard a rumor that Buffalo sends out interviews to New York In-State Applicants first, then OSS American, and lastly international. I was expecting to hear back from Buffalo post-December, so I'm really surprised that I heard back from this school Pre-December.

Congrats !! Buffalo is such an ideal schoool especially being so close to home... still waiting on that first interview :dead:

Fellow Canadians, congrats on any acceptances and for those still waiting, you and I bot know it's only a matter of time, they are coming. Which school have you guys decided to go to?

So i've heard back from 3 schools this week:
Accepted to Touro (Dec 1)
Waitlisted at Temple (Dec 4)
Invited to interview at buffalo (called me on Dec 3)

How is everyone dealing with the fingerprinting, background checking? since we are canadians, the process is a bit different.
