So the people who run the DAT have a rule where you cannot reschedule your test outside of a 6 month window of when you first signed up. I am looking to reschedule just outside of this window, and so I am forced to cancel first and then send in another application for the DAT. This is all fine and I am more than willing to pay the $385 as long as I do not have to wait some "3 months" before another application.
Hence, my question is: if I cancel my test now, will I have to wait 3 months to resubmit an application to test again? Note that I'm not referring to rescheduling but a total cancellation followed with an immediate reapplication.
I would be very extremely grateful if someone who has gone through this could shed some light, in particular! Thanks!!
PS...
Also, I am conflicted over whether I should reschedule or not in the first place. At the moment, I'm doing quite well in the sciences, but I get a sinking feeling whenever it comes to the math, reading, and PAT sections. In particular, I am bombing reading, getting low scores on both the Achiever and Bootcamp. I know reading is not a section that can be improved readily or easily within even a couple of weeks, but I would like, as best I can, to push math as high as possible so that I might balance it out. Last, I am not at all confident with the PAT (angle ranking still seems like a lot of a guessing game to me) but, as it isn't factored into the academic average, I think I would be fine with about a 20.
My greatest fear is not, in fact, scoring "below expectations", but going into the test not feeling as though I've done all that I can. I hate, hate, hate the feeling of regret that comes afterwards. I have just a week remaining before the test and I still have lots of practice material I have yet to exhaust, in addition to some practice material I could still purchase. With this in mind, should I reschedule?
If someone could give me advice, please, I would be so greatful!!
