I am 23 year old female and will be graduating in a year with a degree in medical lab science. I really want to move down to St. George Utah because I love the outdoors and think it that is where I would want to permanently live (I'm not Mormon by the way I just love southern Utah and the climate there). I currently live in Idaho and am miserable here because the weather is ****. I want to go to medical school but there is obviously no med school in southern Utah so I am considering applying to various other states that have decent weather.
I just purchased a book set to study for the 2015 MCAT and I know what it takes to get into med school. I guess I can't decide what to do. Medical lab scientists in southern Utah make less than the average (about 50,000 a year which isn't amazing). I cant decide if I should just go to med school and endure the 4 years of torture plus a residency or move to St George and live comfortably as a MLS. I would enjoy being an MLS but I also want to be a radiologist. My boyfriend and I live together and have no kids or any sort of debt and I don't plan on ever having kids.
Is there anyone else that has wanted to live somewhere really badly but decided to put if off to go to medical school somewhere else? Sorry for the essay I just wanted to get my point across.
