If I could help 1 person not make the same mistake I did, I would be happy. I am considering going back to teaching high school science and just defaulting on my loans.
Can't decide whether to pursue pharmacy or not

There were just things I would consider for myself if I had to do it all over again... Job security can have a good outlook if there is a demand for pharmacists in the job market (which is not the case right now...). You can also have a good chance of landing a job if you have connections through many friends or family members.

2) Probably, since I'm pretty talentless and pharmacist is the only job that doesn't take much talent and still make 6 figures give or take (dunno in the future)

The only way is through nepotism or if you're a young attractive girl your chances will be higher. A lot of DMs are old creepy dudes who like to hire eye candy, sad but true.
What else is someone to do with a worthless bio degree? MD/DO school is hard to get into.
You sound like a cool guy, so why you stomping on my posts? i have not violated any TOS. You need to be more respectful. You may not agree with what someone is saying, but that does not give you the right to just go and stomp on their freedom of speech. I posted some friendly, outgoing stuff and you ASSUMED i was thinking something else and just moved it. Stop doing that. You were in the military so follow the rules like the rest of us sir.
OP, depending on your GPA, you have a lot of options.
If you wanna salvage your Bio degree:
If your GPA is high, you could always try your hand at MD/DO/Dental school. This requires the MCAT/DAT which is not easy. If you don’t have the numbers you could look into Podiatry.
If you have a high GPA and want to be done right away, PA is always an option. Anasthesiologist assistant is also a good under the radar field, look into that.
You could always just write off the Bio degree as a sunk cost and do something in computer science or another field. Accounting is a relativley boring and safe degree that usually leads to a job.
Now that you haven’t committed to pharmacy school and taken on that massive amount of time and debt, there are so many options.

OP can become an MRI/CT scan tech. My friend is an MRI tech and he is doing pretty well salary-wise ( ~$40/hr). Working 4 x12hrs/wk got him 6-figure salary. You can get these degrees at a community college and they cost almost nothing compared to PA/MD/DO/DDS/PharmD etc...

No the PCAT is not as difficult as the MCAT.
Dentist hygienist is also a lucrative field that only requires a community college degree.
The PCAT is a joke. I have taken both.

Just going to pile on and emphasize that the MCAT is significantly different and much more challenging than the PCAT. Not to mention that several pharmacy schools dont even require the PCAT for admissions.
There is a reason why physicians resent pharmacists who insist on being called "doctor".

Coming from someone who has taken multiple admissions tests for professional school, It’s not even comparable. It’s like what’s the difference between a tricycle and a motorcycle.

Some physicians are against other healthcare professionals calling themselves "doctor" in healthcare settings because that can create confusion, but most don't care.
I know the MCAT is very conceptual; I was under the impression that the PCAT and DAT are similar since they test you on the same subject matter... and PharmD and dentists are highly educated professionals.
I was in the same situation as you. I graduated with a science degree and was already into applying for pharmacy school. Except I stopped before getting my degree and decided 2 more years of undergrad to get a degree in CS is better than going to pharm school for 4 more years with significantly more debt.

3) It's up to you what interest you. Personally I probably would have pursued a master's after my Biology degree. Or I would've gone back for a degree in mathematics or physics. I have friends with master's degrees who make almost as much as I do. I know doctoral students who even though may not make a lot of money currently, are really passionate about their research.
