Why can't I remember anything? I did relatively well throughout med school... all A's and B's, but now a few days into my step review, it's like I'm learning everything for the first time. Anyone else feel like this or is it just me? This is hopeless...

yeah, I feel the same way. I did fairly well in the last two years, but just took nmbe 2 today (before any qbank or study) and got 209. initially I thought cool.....but it seems like most of the people that scored 230+ (not an unreasonable score to want) in the "scores/experiences" thread got a 220-230 on their pre-study nbme exam. so yeah, we have a long way ahead of us. should have learned it right the first time 🙁

you know what's really bad...not only did I forget a lot of what I learned in the first 2 years but I can't spell or do simple math as well as I could before.

haha! I have the same problem. I also have a hard time carrying on conversations, or completing sentenses. Its not that I've lost any "social ability" but rather, my mind feels "blown over" nearly all the time and so I have a hard time thinking straight.

Holy smokes - this is so utterly yet sadly me. I can't remember what 7x8 is even though I aced the AP Calc exam back in the day. Glad to know I'm not the only one out there!
