Hey guys,

I’m looking for some help … I am a Canadian student and I got rejected from every single school I applied to here in Canada...quite depressing. Nonetheless, I plan on reapplying this upcoming year however I am not very hopeful of getting in…so I am also planning on applying to some US pharmacy schools.

Anyone know which schools are friendly to Canadian applicants? Based on some research I realize that I should focus on private institutions.

Can any Canadians out there that have gone through this process, help and give me some advice? Based on my stats…where should I apply? I was thinking Buffalo U and Wayne state (although Wayne has a very high gpa).

Any feedback would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

My stats:

Going into my 4th year at University of Toronto in Sept.
GPA : ~3.3
Pcat: 87 composite
+Lots of pharmacy volunteering

youll def get in with ur stats........dont worry about it...

man you must like totally screwed up on your essay or something with that stat you should be at least getting interviews. Not to say you're like top 10% or anything but you're definitely in the competitive range.

^for the major canadian pharmacy schools (UBC/UofT/UofA) the average gpa is 3.67 or 80%

You sound like a solid applicant. Have you practiced your interview skills? Don't try and seggregate yourself as a "special Canadian applicant." Apply like everyone else, and you'll do ok. Pick a few schools you're interested and do some research on them and you'll be a pharm student in no time.

Good luck.
