Career advice please

Is it possible to work as an allied healthcare worker and also work in a research lab part-time? I enjoy both clinical and bench research, but I don't want to do bench research for a living...I want a mix of clinic and bench.

I'm not looking to become a doctor.

Edit: I'm also interested in epi research.
