Career Change for Pharmacist

I am a pharmacist thinking of a career change.

My undergrad GPA was 3.8ish. unfortunately, pharmacy school was not great on GPA ~ it was around 3.55 which would hurt my chances I assume.

I am Canadian and from Ontario so that doesn't seem to do me any favors.

That being said. I did a residency - work at a large academic center- has an appointment with a well-known university for faculty position/teaching/research.
~ 10 Publications. Include one in the New England Journal of Medicine as the First author. I also have an MSc
I am still relatively young in my late 20s. I feel like I've gone as far as I could in pharmacy and there is nothing to grow (Money wise I am ok can't complain too much).

Not sure if MD-PHD would increase my changes given my publications and research record.
Any thoughts on which US school would give me a shot would be helpful!.

Assuming you get a good MCAT, I think you're pretty competitive for Canadian schools if you apply broadly (ie coast to coast). If you speak French, apply for UOttawa's French stream. You'll get some credit for your 1st author NEJM pub. Do you have sufficient volunteer experience? UOttawa exclusively looks at undergrad, so your GPA is fine for them.

For US, I'd actually aim high, plus include schools that take more Canadians (Wayne State for example).

I have a Canadian classmate with a similarly-stellar CV. I think you have a chance! Kill the MCAT and I’m sure you’ll have luck.

I mean, first-author in NEJM is pretty noteworthy...
