Hi all! Looking for advice on my journey to medical school. I am working as a data scientist currently, graduated in 2024 with a cGPA of 3.72 (CS and Systems Engineering double major). If I do a DIY post bacc + shadowing + volunteering will that undergrad gpa hurt my application? Worried that it’s a bit low.

It's not bad. I do not think it will limit you too much. If you take the prereqs, do well on the MCAT, and have a well rounded out application otherwise, you should be good.

Good to know thank you! I’m hoping to get in somewhere in state to stay close to family and save on tuition if that helps at all. Probably looking at matriculating in 2029 though so there’s some time

Your GPA isn't low for any medical school in the country. Lower end for like, HMS I guess.
