I'm interested in getting an MBA along with my DDS (the school gives the MBA free fo charge, so I figure why not) I was wondering if there is any type of starting position that a person can take in an organization or anything fresh outta school with those two credentials, as opposed to just becoming a dentist. I've had A LOT of trouble finding info on the subject, from potential jobs to starting salaries etc. Any info would be HIGHLY appreciated.

PS There are a few other people on this forum who have PM'ed me concerning the same thing, so you'd be helping them out as well. Thanks.

you'll probably get more replies on the dental residency forum. there's a ton of opportunities. within dental, you could do practice management, consulting, work for one of the dental supplies/materials companies, and the list goes on. Roger Levin is the guru of consulting, look him up. I'm sure the ADA website has a bunch of info on it as well. Outside dental, you could function similarly with medical companies. jobs in insurance are also there - although your dental profs will be likely against that! even if you work only in private practice, the mba will be great for you in terms of running a business. i would do it - provided the mba program has a decent reputation.
in terms of starting salaries, you'll make more as a private practice dentist.
