Just finished CARS Q pack 2.. made some stupid mistakes. After finishing the first half of the test I was at 88% percent correct then the last couple passages got me. Finished with 82% correct. ~3 months out from my test. Is this good? Do you think its possible to get a 128-129?

You're set, 82% is pretty good. I got a 76% or something 5 days from my exam and was stressed the hell out and got a 129.

This is good, but why did you do these so far out from your test? These are the most representative CARS passages out there... What're you going to use now?

No point of "saving" those Q pack CARS.

You are not going to "improve" your score by saving them until the kingdom come.

Do them early ASAP to gauge your faculty.

This is good, but why did you do these so far out from your test? These are the most representative CARS passages out there... What're you going to use now?

I have about 3 months and still have CARS QP1. I'm almost done with content and will be taking FL's next week. I also got 91% on Bio QP1, felt very confident but made some stupid mistakes.

Don't be discouraged by the first half of CARS QP1! It's the hardest part of the whole series, but keep on keeping on.

Obama read the passage to me in his smirking, varicadence.

No more boring passages, always looking forward to his service.

Honestly I just read the passage and answer questions. I tried a lot of different tricks but this method just seems to work best for me.

Best strategy that works best for me is to really pick out the tone of the passage and get the main idea. A lot of the questions are based on how the author feels about what they're writing. As for the main idea, if you don't know what the passage is even about, you won't stand a chance at answering any of the questions correctly.

Yeah, I'd agree with everyone overall regarding 82% being quite a solid score, especially this far out. I do disagree pretty strongly with those who say you should do the AAMC practice passages as "soon as possible." The whole point of doing practice is actually practicing things you're bad at. The #1 thing most people are bad at initially is their CARS timing. It'd be a shame to waste a ton of really high-quality passages early on when you're improving something you could do with prep company passages. If you burn through all of your AAMC passages too early, then what are you going to practice as the test gets closer? The AAMC has not yet released enough passages for three months of consistent practice.

Just finished CARS Q pack 1 and scored 78% overall. Is this good? I don't know if I have the means to obtain a 128/129. I scored 125 on NS1 CARS then changed my method up and scored 127 on NS 2 CARS. I think NS CARS is unlike AAMC and actually the questions are so convoluted. AAMC questions for CARS just seem so much more clear. Thoughts? CARS is the only section I'm worried about. Where should I go from here? @TestingSolutions @Coltuna @SpectreDoc
