I am writing a case report in the clerkship I am doing.
It is a pretty rare disease, with about 15 previous articles.
I want to do a "good" job on it, and I have seen some articles that titles
"Case report of *** - a review of literature"
But... in case of this, I will have at least 15 references and more than 1000 to 1500 word limit on most journals.
What should I do?
Is it possible to go over the limit when there is "extensive review" of literature?
and.. more fundamental and important question is... case reports limit ref. to 10-15. But if part of what I wrote in my article is not my original idea, I have write it down as reference. But... if I have to limit the number which do I ignore? and.. regarding the "ignore articles before 2005"- does it mean that I just write parts of what I referred from, without any references? just like a "common knowledge" kind of thing?
Thanks in advance!!!
