1) Is it possible for a woman to never have a menstrual cycle?

2) In a separate case, what could cause 1-2 missed periods (and counting) for a relatively healthy young woman who is not pregnant? (No other symptoms)

1) yes it’s called primary amenorrhea and can be due to a number of anatomical (uterine agenesis) or physiologic (primary ovarian, pituitary or hypothalamic dysfunction)

2) irregular periods also has a broad differential that can be gleaned from any obgyn text or Wikipedia
