Case Study publication

A doctor I shadow has given me the opportunity to do a case study on a patient he says is a textbook presentation of X disease.
I've researched some case study guidelines and what to include and such but how does one go about publishing it/making it official? Not sure how this works. Any resources would be great.

PubMed is a great resource, and you can find previously published case studies in the literature (or a general google search) to model your report on. As for publishing, look at journals in your field and in the field that related to the case study. Your doctor will be able to help you get started on that. Many journals will say on their sites if they accept case studies and how to go about publishing them.
