  1. Pre-Dental
I feel lucky to get in anywhere and now I have a decision to make. Where would you go if you had the choice of the 4 schools listed above?

Hey, just curious why you picked Pitt as #1.

I don't like the cold... I've lived in Texas my whole life and visited parts of the SE... but that's just me.

i know a few graduates from pitt who have said that they and a lot of their friends have gone to do AEGD/GPR programs because they don't feel confident going solely on what they've learned in school

OH please... when I went to Temple, I passed by the Pharmacy school and I kid you not I saw like ten 100 pound girls. The area isn't that bad if you have some common sense

You will feel like this at alomst every school from what i've heard. I used to work at a hotel across from a really famous post grad dental center. I must have talked to a dentist from almost every school. All of them said do a GPR or take out more loans to take a course from Dr Spear or Dr Koise. All of us will be really slow when we finish school and not feel confident. Unless you have a parent who is willing to be patient or a really cool dental practice, it's not realistic to think your going to comparable to someone who's been in for a couple of years.

Pitt or Case, One of these two. It would be hard to choose between them.

pitt all the way.... think thats were i'm going ot go

Case for sure...

I have been to all schools and case is the best...

talking to Nova students they are annoyed with the lack of clinical experience

Were these girls Pharmacy students or were they hanging out infront of the school hoping to get some pharmacutical grade methamphetamines?
Next year will be soo much fun at Temple

I am from Los Angeles and I haven't seen as many beautiful women as I saw on the medical campus of Nova. If you are male go there. If you are male and sterile and therefore education matters more to your Case would be the top choice. No place like Case to be trained for dentistry.

Case is a great school, just kinda pricey compared to the other places you listed. You will need a car at Nova though. Didn't interview at Pitt, but heard great things about the program. But if you want to be great clinically, do Case (Cleveland.... not the richest city in America).

Just wanted to put my two cents worth in. I'm a 2nd year at Case and wanted to say that while its not perfect, I feel like I'm getting a pretty good education. The facilities are great for the pre-clinical courses. The clinic needs a make-over but it works. The upper classmen that I've spoken with say they feel like they have been well prepared to practice dentistry--and by the way Cleveland is beginning to grow on me. We live in a great suburb and my wife and kids aren't living in fear for their lives like I thought they would before we moved out here.😉 For what its worth😎

Not Temple, because thats where I'm hoping to get accepted.🙂

Case is a great school as other posters have mentioned. I am a first year and we have had some bumps in the road with the new curriculum but overall it has been going OK. Case is great clinically. We just finished 2 weeks of placing sealants on kids.

Definitely Case. Partial PBL, good clinical focus, the receptionist deal. Very nice.

Dont know much about the other schools, but everyone seems to say that Temple is in the ghetto and is therefore bad. I would say that it is good that it is the bad part of town, what finer place to find patients who dont have insurance and need to come into a school to get work done?

That is my 2 cents. By the way, D Will had 28 and 14 last night. Sweet.

Be careful for what you wish for ! You will end up doing lots of extraction and simple filling and less of other high end services such as crown & bridge, implant, veneer, procera crown.....
