Price is on the short list? What are predents thinking these days?
No brainer: Go to the cheapest school!
Case has a big name? Am I confused. Name in dentistry isn't worth the extra dollars. Both are reputable schools.
You are absolutely correct.
But here is the deal... UMDNJ people are welcome to attack me(other than my huckleberry fin english) and post useful insight about this...
Yes cost is a factor, where as NAME* is NOT. Name means nothing as long as you dont graduate from the school w/ didnt have any scandals.
if you google UMDNJ up... regarding cheating etc... and if you look at the community service that it "forces" its students do as a result of it (look at it in their curriculum). You will know exactly what i am talking about. BTW yes that was the deal cut by umdnj at the meeting.
Forget that for now. Most of the bad name for UMDNJ received is from its hospital ex. scamming medicare or medicaid, hiring doctors w/o any sort of research experience as prof. even though they dont teach a single class so that they can "refer" their patients to UMDNJ.
I even heard couple of dentists in a dental office stating that they wouldnt like to hire UMDNJ grads b/c they dont want to take a chance. JUST b/c of these types of incidents this schools has a bad rep.
Now you tell me... which one would you choose.
When i referred to NAME, i am not talking about the brand. like niki or rebok they both get you to the same place and they are just shoes. I am talking in a sense of maxima vs. impala. Both are cars, even though they are built equally one company has bad rep.
