A year and a half ago our gym that was in the hospital was taken away and hasn't yet returned. Apparently, it is in the GME contract to provide a gym but they have continuously put it off. It's very frustrating to be in the hospital on call and not being able to work out. On call in the hospital at least 6 days a month, missing a week of exercise a month has taken a significant toll on my health. The Association of Resident and Fellows has tried to work with administration without avail. A large number of residents are upset about this but we have no idea how to get the administration to actually care. Does anyone know how to get this administration to deliver what is promised?

And oh yeah, why do we have to pay more for parking than the visitors?
Why do we only get enough on call money to pay for a months worth of food (that is typically unhealthy)?

What do you mean taken away? Or are they just remodeling?

Do pushups and sprints in the stair wells :prof:

Veale gym is free to us. Open year round, part of case wester main college campus
THe gym that was in the basement (hole in the wall with weights which I loved) is being remodeled/relocated as radiology has purchased the real estate.
As for call money, yeah a little low, I agree. Not much else to say there.
The parking fees aren't that outrageous.

Makes me appreciate my unopposed family medicine residency. We get treated like freaking kings here. Free hot bar in the doctors lounge for breakfast and lunch, with leftovers in the fridge available for supper. Free, close, covered parking year round with plenty of spots. Gym across the street but I prefer just walking the stairs for a workout. It's almost embarassing how much those first two factors affected my high ranking of this place
:sour:

Are you seriously ****ing kidding me. Our call money sucks too and, well, I guess paying for parking blows (ours is free) but still. As if not working out 6 days a month takes 'a toll on your health' (god I wish I could make it to the gym 24 days a month).
