hey all, just wondering if anyone had any comments or opinions about case western med school. trying to get my list of schools ready so i can start applying once the mcat scores finally come in! i haven't heard much about the school, but it looks pretty interesting from their website - particularly the college program that gives you some research training as well. anyone know anything about this? (i was considering md/phd for a while, but i don't really see myself running my own lab and all that - i'd rather focus on medicine with some involvement in research as well, and i'm not ready to take out four years of my life to get a phd right now.) anyway, just wanted to see if anyone had any info to share!

one of the things i like most about case is the elective program. they offer a tons of different mini-courses in all specialties that are elective (for a list, see http://mediswww.cwru.edu/education/catsscheds.htm), and you can choose up to two specialties as an "area of concentration", which presumably would make you a better candidate when applying for residency. i also believe you can take any undergraduate or graduate course offered at case.
