Hi, I know the CASPer trick is to weight everything, consider all possible options, etc etc like you would do on an MMI. However I was wondering for questions like: "What do you advise?" are they expecting to hear a yes/no answer. This is the scenario: https://takecasper.com/test-prep/

So in this case, question 1 which states: Would you recommend he take paternity leave? Why or why not?

I was hoping to say (just summarizing here): urge him to identify what are the ways his wife would like him to be there for her, and see if he can do that w/o taking leave. if possible, then no. however, i would also urge him to consider if any changes have happened in the climate of the office since the john inside and if a trusted mentor/hr/overall consensus is paternity leave is no biggie currently then i would say go for it son!

But then there is the problem that Q 2 asks: What strategies could you offer to help him make a decision that he feels comfortable with?

Really confused. Sounds like they want you to say something y/n for 1 and back it with a reason,a t the expense of weighing other options?

Are you applying this cycle? When are you taking the casper?

Remember this acronym: IRAC (Issue, Rule, Analysis, Conclusion). State the issue (i.e., The issue is whether to do X). State the rule, if relevant (i.e., The rule regarding whether to do X is blah blah blah. You can skip this step if there is no pertinent rule of which you are aware). Set forth your analysis, arguing both sides of the issue (i.e., On one hand, one may consider that X is the right thing to do because blah blah blah. On the other hand, one may consider that Y is the right thing to do because blah blah blah). Render a conclusion (i.e., In the final analysis, I would do Y rather than X because blah blah blah).

I'm taking it tomorrow. What was the point of this if you're not going to answer the question? I know it's later on than I'd like and only 2 schools I'm applying to need it. Are you a gunner? Can you plz stop bringing this energy to posts if you have nothing to contribute

I'm surprised there are a lot of posts on here as of late, where people are taking MCAT/CASPer exams past August, which is why I asked- in which case I was going to suggest taking it ASAP. The exam is not really one you can study for so it's better to just get it over with so that you can be complete at schools right away. The person above me has already answered your question.
Relax and you will be fine for Casper. Just make sure to have your timing right and that you are ready to type.
