Catalase positive and anaerobism?

Hi,

Could someone explain briefly the relationship between being catalase positive and the ability to use oxygen? I understand what catalase does (degrades H2O2, esp problematic in CGD disease, etc), but I'll read a text that says cat pos makes it either aerobic or facultative anaerobic, and I don't know why.

Without O2 you can't have H2O2.
