If an antibiotic covers "anaerobes", does this include facultative anaerobes, or does it mean obligate anaerobes?

For example, the carbapenems cover "anaerobes". I'm wondering if this refers to "obligate anaerobes" only, or just any bacteria that doesn't require oxygen (obligate anaerobes + facultative anaerobes).

Same goes for antibiotics that cover "aerobes"; are these just "obligate aerobes" or does it include facultative anaerobes too?

I am asking this question because I do not know how to apply this information (eg, if I see a facultative anaerobic bacteria, I won't know which drugs are okay for it).
