Categorical CT spots

A while back there was some debate about making CT (or perhaps C and T independently) categrorical. Havent heard much mentioned since. Are any programs experimenting with this, did the 80hr et al complicate this, or was it just DOA?

Still up in the air, but definately coming at a number of programs. Wash U. (St. Louis) is the only program I know of who has told their incoming interns last year that they would be given the oppurtunity to fast-track within the institution.
