Categorizing summer courses - year?

Hi guys,

What academic year are you guys categorizing summer courses under on your application? For example, for summer of 2015, I categorized it under the 2014-2015 academic year. But it shows up in the following order on my application, which is a little concerning:

Summer 2015
Fall 2014
Spring 2015

Shouldn't it be:
Fall 2014
Spring 2015
Summer 2015?

Or should summer of 2015 be categorized in the 2015-2016 year?

Summer of 2015 should be categorized as the beginning of the next year. I would suggest finding the AMCAS questions thread on this forum, it had a lot of questions like these that I hadn't even thought to ask! It was a really helpful tool. Good luck!

I don't think it matters tbh. But, if you're going for aesthetically pleasing then categorize summer of 2015 under 15-16 year.
