can anyone answer my question?

causes of death
1. myaesthenia gravis
2. pyelonephritis bilateral

or can u translate it in layman's language. It's my cousin's cause of death and we are confused on what's the real meaning behind that medical term.. so please help or u can PM me.

myasthenia gravis is a neurmuscular disorder. through a mechanism far too complicated to get into here, there is weakness of skeletal muscle. did you cousin have droopy eyelids? that's a classic symptoms of this disease. the most obvious way this disease would directly cause death would be respiratory failure (ie, unable to breathe).

bilateral pyelonephritis means a severe infection of both kidneys. perhaps your cousin was unable to empty the bladder well because of the MG, leading to the urinary tract infection that presumably because widespread (sepsis). again, this is a fairly common condition that is usually treatable if it is detected before the infection becomes systemic.
