UFAPS is tried and true. I know someone who got 95+ that way. For lots of people, that's all they use.

(UWorld, First Aid, Pathoma, Sketchy) - though the proper order is more like (Sketchy, Pathoma, First Aid, UWorld)

From the aaoms website FAQ section: "After completion of the examination, applicants will receive an electronic score report within one week from NBME. A copy of the score report also will be provided to AAOMS. Your score will NOT be included on the PASS application and you will be required to submit your score report to your program(s) of choice."

So hopefully within a week?

Studied 6 months and got a 211. Not the best score, not the worst. Should I retake or is that a decent enough score?

You definitely do not need to retake a 216 😂 or a 211 for that matter. Both are very solid scores.

may i ask what score they told you to get at minimum? and is this because they felt you were lacking in other areas and needed a higher score to make up for it?

Hi everyone, I graduated dental school in 2019 scored 234. No GPR no AEGD. Looking for advice on how to proceed next, any specific recommendations for programs to apply for observationship. Since I graduated, I think programs would only be able to offer observationships. Thanks

They didn't provide a goal number, they just said retake. And no, maybe because we don't have class ranking?

CBSE will remain numbered I believe. Step 1 is transitioning to Pass/Fail scoring.

Pointless on multiple levels. Is a 225 going to be a 98% while a 240 is a 99%? Or if you score a 230+ is it essentially a 100%? With how competitive it has gotten, I’d say applicants would be distinguished by a fraction of a percent or by whoever went to the fancier school.

I’d bet that the scoring doesn’t change for OMS applicants. Pretty sure the CBSE we take is separate from the CBSE med students take, as ours is written by NBME but still administered by AAOMS. I wouldn’t be surprised if they kept ours with a 3 digit score.

I interpreted it differently, sounds like they will have the % chance of passing step 1 , and a separate score, the equated score, will basically be like the old 2 digit score we had, I believe the clerkship shelfs have equated scores and they function similarly

They stopped giving out statistics since last July. Mr. London is no longer with AAOMS I believe.
