The NBME released this document on Dec 15, 2021 detailing the move away from a 3-digit score to an “equated percent correct” and probability of passing step 1 if taken within a week for the CBSE. They say this change will be implemented Feb 23, 2022. This looks like it’s directed at med students, but it’s the same test, right? Document says that you’ll receive an equated percent correct for each content area too.
I’m assuming this will affect scoring for OMFS applicants as well but don’t actually know.
Does anyone have anymore info on what “equated percent correct” means or on this change as a whole and if it will affect OMFS applicants?
