the CBT i took on 14 may was fine . from question papers and also from theory.
overall i wud say do kaplan also or for that matter any book that will help u in basics.dental decks r not enough in them.

Hello Anjali45 !
I have a question........how long did you study for CBT and what material have you used, and in your opinion the questions were up to detail or just general common sense stuff .
So generally what would you recomend how to study for CBT.

Hi Anjali,
What is your score? PART1...Since it was CBT you must have got ur part 1 scores in 2weeks ..as you took the exam on may14th....
so are you starting your prep for part2?...or are u going to apply to schools this year...

i took exam in morning itself july 14 not on may 14 may be misunderstanding. for me CBT was fine. I did my dentistry in india and then advanced standing DDS in canada in dalhousie university, practised for 3 years,i just moved to US in april 2005. i started to prepare around mid april i wud say amidst shift and all. i wud say i prepared for 2.5 months and studies on weekends too. giving 5-6 hours approx .
i am not applying to universities as i have done DDS there is a reciprocal thing in canada and US they recognize each other DDS. so all i need is 75 in part 1 and 2 and the NERB or CRDTS the patient exam.
i will be taking a break for 1 week and then prepare for part 2.i have done my interviews applying i have already gone thru it once , not going thru again. i checked that and then only we moved here. if i ha dto go back to school again i was not going to move to US.
Jojo i read USMLe first aid and kaplan as i did not have any other books . did my basics for 1. 5 months and then did papers for last moth and did the decks at end to brush up to see if i had left anything important.

keep up the good work. just keep motivated and keep going. i is very easy to lose courage but thanks to my family especially my husband i made it to school and did my DDS.

i did Q bank but did not get any direct questions only helped me in clearing my basics. but my personal is that it is ok for DA but anat, physio, micro, patho are very detailed and in exam they dont ask so much. in exam there was only 1 question on limb but in kaplan q bank there is so much of that.
