Where?
All over my friend... All over....
People don't go crazy - now - for this fellowship so there are plenty of opportunities.
I can't recommend a specific program.

Excuse my ignorance, still a third year, but interested in both Anesthesia and CCM... Why does doing a CCM fellowship take balls though?
My understanding from reading these boards is that CCM job opportunities are looking up, one of the more viable fellowships in light of a changing marketplace. Am I mistaken in this?
I don't think it does. Just another year of hard training. Great idea for someone at your stage. Great idea in my opinion.
What makes this such a great idea, simply because it makes you more marketable, or does it add to the diversity of settings where one can work (practically speaking, in the community)?
all of the above plus it makes you a better clinician. How bad can it be? putting in orders, doing procedures staffing consults, and not writing a single note, well except procedure notes, but you can make templates very easily. I'd do it, a year of training for a life time of being a better clinician and options.

Anesthesia CC - 3 weeks CC , 1 week anesthesia.
Pay - 300K +.
Academic because I choose it.
Private practice offers - 300 + for cc , 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off.
I feel it very stable and I like it.

Thanks for the info 2win. Are the private practice offers you see, like a week of 12 hour days then a week of 12 hours nights in a row? Have you come across many anesthesia + ICU jobs in PP? Is it common to use the 2 weeks off to do anesthesia? could really bump up the salary with that.....Anesthesia CC - 3 weeks CC , 1 week anesthesia.

So - in PP the schedule is 7 days on - 12 h, 7 days on night 12 h, 2 weeks off.
In the weeks off nobody cares what you do ( BUT I bet that they don't like you to provide the same service - and I mean CC across the street - you can do anesthesia though...).
There are jobs, not so many advertised. You gonna be an asset for any decent PP.
