nice campus, downers grove area is bigger than I thought it'd be, but I haven't really checked it out yet, very high cost of living in the area just from looking at newspaper ads for apartments, campus-housing is quite a bit cheaper, but they don't allow pets, and I have a cat. Library is nice, and there are plenty of quiet little study areas around campus. I really don't know if it would be worth it to spend the amount of money needed to attend this place and live here. My S.O. is the one on the interview, but I will likely be applying to some of the same schools as well. It is a nice campus, but I just don't know. I guess I'll ask her what she found out about financial aid.

Jason, which one was your SO?

Blond/brunette? I was in that interview group. The interview went well...fingers are crossed until I hear back!!

PS: she better have something to tell you about financial aid. we had to sit through a lengthy presentation on the financial ramifications of medical school.

even more anxious to get an interview now.

Thanks KUBA. I really liked CCOM. We all know my heart is in PA though (although I definitely would make the move if it was between WV and Chicago) although NJ would be greatly appreciated! 😳 :scared:

If anyone has any left-over ccom acceptances, i'll take one please 🙂 😉

CCOM is my second choice DO school which I'd only give up for PCOM. It's tied with UMDNJ-SOM for monetary reasons. If I got an interview invite AND an acceptance for PCOM and really liked what I saw, I would drop the hypothetical CCOM acceptance for you 🙂 I am really excited about the CCOM clinical sites and the possibilities are endless for electives to say the least! Chicago's a great medical city in general.

BUT I haven't been accepted as of yet so I would rather not count my blessings before they hatch (mixing metaphors is fun!).

She's a brunette. She was telling me about a guy from Pennsylvania, so that must have been you. She also said there was another guy who seemed like he didn't want to be there at all. The interview went great, I'm sure she'll get an acceptance. We'll have to wait and compare financial aid packages. The cost could be bearable if she gets a good deal of it covered with grants and scholarships. Neither of us are very comfortable with borrowing the kind of money it would take to attend CCOM.

I'm just curious what SO stands for? It seems everyone understood except for me 🙁.

She probably said how many awkward jokes I told. I do that when no one is talking. It's my way of dealing with a certain level of discomfort.

But yeah I remember her. She seemed pretty nice, although I didn't talk to her all that much. I had to jump back into my car really quick and book it to O'Hare just to find that my flight had been CANCELED so I had to get a later flight at 8:45 central/9:45 eastern which meant I got back into State College at 1:30 in the AM. So, yeah I rushed out of the lunch just to get to a canceled flight 🙁 I hope it didn't reflect negatively upon me. The OMM fellow that was speaking with us told me that no one cared what I did at that point bc the interview was over.

Oh yeah, I saw you get into a car as I was walking out of the parking garage toward Littlejohn.
