CCOM interviewees-

Do you mind posting your GPA/MCAT scores? I have not heard anything from CCOM or AZCOM, but I'm really interested in both. Thanks!
 
I submitted late Sept. and I interviewed this past Monday- so, I'd say about 4 or 5 weeks of waiting before I got the invitation letter. Now God only knows how long it'll be til I hear something after the interview. 😕

that's sure a long time. i have to make a decision for the other schools before dec 15...i wonder if i'll miss that opportunity to even interview.

what other schools did you interview at? how does this one compare to those one?
 
I only applied to a total of 3 DO schools, I've interviewed at all 3, and I'm hoping to gain acceptance to all 3 (assuming the interviews went well in the minds of my interviewers). I've already gotten an acceptance to one school, and the school honestly really impressed me (only negative is the location). AS for the allopathic med schools, I had to wait til my Aug. MCAT scores came in, so I'm guessing i'll hear sometime in NOv. & DEC.from them🙁
If you want my honest advice, if the school you're accepted to right now treated you really well & you like the people & program, send in your deposit a week or two before it's due- worst case scenerio, you'll get into a better program & you lose your deposit. Hope this helps & Good luck!
 
so I called and found out that the admission committee will most likely meet after Thanksgiving and we'll find out in the first week of December... just an FYI note

That stinks. Somebody said in a previous post that they called and was told the committee was meeting today. Oh well.
 
I had everything submitted Sept. 25 and I havent heard anything. I feel like this is bad news since it's been almost two months now.

NOoooooooooo, that can't be! 😡 I've been nervous all week to hear back from them. Did you call today or did they tell you that earlier (ie at your interview)? Also, when did you interview? Shucks, I don't know if I can't wait that long 🙁
 
RELAX all!!!!!! I just called because reading these posts freaked the hell out of me & I REALLY want to know!!!! Anyways, I was told by the Amiss office that we should be hearing VVV. soon because the committee is meeting as of today 😱 IE. Nov.16!!! Good luck to all of you (& me).

You're very welcome. I really hope we get in!!!! & good luck to you as well( & to supervic). I guess if anyone wants more detail, the lady's exact words were that we'll hear "by early next week, " not to add any more stress to anyone's life, but I'm guessing if we don't get a phone call by tues, it's not good- but I honestly don't know if they actually make all their accept. via phone or if some simply get mailed, as I imagine there should be quite a few acceptances:luck: . If anyone knows, please inform us.

Good stuff. LIke I said from an earlier post. I saw that the first batch they accepted, a couple of people got a call late Friday afternoon. So that could be something to look foward to tommorrow 🙂

They dont call everyone that gets accepted. I interviewd 11.8.04 and didnt get a call.

A couple weeks after people got called, I got this rain soaked, half torn, half open acceptance letter in the mail.

THanks for your insight , Buckeye OHio. I assume you're a med student at CCOM now. So basically, there's still hope even if we don't get a phone call.... As an aside, how do you feel about your education thus far at MWU, & do you think that if you could do things all over again that you'd still choose CCOM?

Last one tomorrow. I had the pleasure of spending all last night studying for micro. Then I went to sleep and didnt wake up until 5pm - which is why Im still up now.

It is 3pm (eastern time). Has anybody gotten a phone call yet?
 
your welcome. The very nice lady said they had not received any of the info yet so hopefully they could give us some answers on monday. Hope that calms the nerves.
 
I just got a phone call from the admissions office that i have been accepted. So you guys look out for a phoen call. CCOM here i come..........BTW i interviewed on 10/31

congrats guys! I think it is amazing that they basically just lied to me no more than a few minutes before you guys got calls. Oh well, hopefully my call is coming soon. Once again, congrats!🙂
 
I"m in too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CCOM is my first choice... im definitely going there! OMG I started crying on the phone (and im a guy). as you can see from all my previous posts, i was soooooooooo nervous for this. the lady was like, are you okay? im like.... i'm greaaaaaaaaaaaat. i'm going to have an awesome thankgiving now. break just started today! good job everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AHHH im so excited. Good luck to everyon eelse!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
I interviewed on 11/3 and got a phone call acceptance today at 2:45 Eastern time!!! CCOM is my top choice so I am definitely excited! It is going to be a Happy Thanksgiving!!!
 
Congrats to-be-classmates, Hope everybody whose #1 choice is CCOM gets in. I m looking forward to a long long long long long...(infinity) vacation. Yoo-Hoo, the good news is that I am from Downers grove so I am happy about not relocating.

I'm in too! They called my house, and since I'm at work, they told my husband. Considering I thought that my interview had gone poorly, I am kind of surprised to get a positive response. Congrats to all!
 
I got a call 10 mins into class and saw that it was an out of state number. So then I had to sit through 40 excrutiating mins wondering if it was indeed an acceptance call. Luckily I wasn't let down.

Got a phone call today as well. I'm IN!

I'm withdrawing my acceptance at KCOM. Gotta decide between DMU and CCOM. For those making the same decision, what are your thoughts?

i got the call today too! I really love the idea of living in chicago (my favorite city and defiantely where I want to do my residency). However, for some reason I got a lot of negative feelings on my tour compared to my other schools. (probably the guides fault) (and I dont know who the hell would live in those dorms!) Although my dream has always been to live in chicago im pretty sure im going to turn down this acceptance...so if u got waitlisted hopefully you'll get my spot!!!! =) its is a great school...just not for me!

Interesting to see your thoughts numerically. I definitely don't agree with the gut reaction thing. DMU won hands down there. I agree with the rest of the numbers that you suggested for the schools.

The only major thing that CCOM beats all the other schools in is its rotations in some of the best hospitals in the Chicago area. I do realize that rotations are extremely important in order to get good residencies. I just don't know if I can sacrifice my gut feeling for this. I am from the Chicago area so basically CCOM has everything for me -- besides this gut feeling!

This is going to be very difficult...
