CCOM Post-Interview Stress

So, has anyone who interviewed at CCOM gotten a phone call this week (week of NOv 20)? I saw that a few people got a call on Fri. the 17th of Nov. However, no one seemed to list anything yesterday. I know i'm being obsessive compulsive about this, but i felt my inteview went extremely well, & I'm curious if I"m the only one from the Nov. interview pool who hasn't heard anything yet. Could they simply not be calling everyone who's in? If anyone has any insight, it would be very much appreciated. Happy Thanksgiving day to all of you 🙂

If you JUST interviewed. I'm willing to bet you're in the next adcom cycle. Good news, no phone call =/= rejection. Bad news, you're probably not going to hear anything until mid-December.

m-said, did you interview on Monday the 6th? That was my interview day. Anyway... I have heard of others in the first wave of acceptances not receiving phone calls and still getting accepted so I would not stress too much.

Yes, I interviewed on Nov. 6. So, I'm getting really nervous about not hearing from them- even though I'm sure it's not over yet.... I hope.

I interviewed the same day as m-said and slindswim, and they called my house on Friday (unless my husband is playing a really mean trick on me...he was home and I wasn't, so they talked to him). You could try calling the admissions office and politely asking them if a decision has been made in regards to your application. They told my husband that I wouldn't get the packet in the mail for 2-3 weeks.

I'm actually on the same page as you m-said... I called them on Monday and asked, the lady told me that the dean , Dr. Nichols, hasn't signed off on my file... then I called again today... the lady (with a british accent) told me that my file, along with several others, is still pending a decision from her and that either she'll come to it tomorrow or on Monday... I just dont want to be waitlisted... but I'm sure something good will come out...

so my suggestion is to call them tomorrow and see what they say about your file...

hey m-said, i interviewed on the 6th and i got a call on my acceptance on the 17th. i would say definitely call them because they may have a decision on your file now, who knows! good luck to you- i remember you- you were great- im sure you got in!!

If you are accepted your "Interact Now" account should have a new layout. Just check it.

Thanks for the insight!!! So, is it okay to ask about the application status over phone? I thought they don't answer those types of questions. But at least there's still some hope, I guess....If you don't mind telling me, what exactly did you ask? I always feel awkward inquiring over the phone (even though that's the only way to do it, I guess.) Anyways, good luck!!! I feel the same way you do right now..I'd really like to hear something......soon.

Thanks for your kind words, MT4life, even though I'm not sure exactly who you are. I'd really like to know the result of my interview, but I don't know if they'd be up for answering questions over the phone, and I don't want to seem obsessive.... Anyways, thanks again & Congratulations on your well earned acceptance!!!😀

yea i dont think there's anything wrong with asking the status over the phone... it all depends on who picks up... sometimes I'll get a vague answer and sometimes someone will go and look up my file to give me a def answer...

anyway I'll be calling again today and I'll let you know what they say...

ya i called and they told me no decision yet... I think they're going to take care of it by Monday becuz of Thanksgiving... I don't recall ever hating thanksgiving break this much 😛

im so behind right now as far as CCOM is concerned.

I Just sent them my primary last week, today i received the supplemental application and I finished that and sent it out today along with forwarding all my LOR's from Interfolio.com

How long before I hear about an interview do you guys think? what has been your experience with CCOM thus far??

I think it took 3 or 4weeks for me to get the interview invite. Good luck 🙂

Hey LastDance, when did you interview? I interviewed on November 9th and I haven't heard anything. I really need to know before Friday 'cause I have to send a deposit to another school.

Seems to me that those who have gotten in received a phone call regarding their acceptance a couple of weeks before receiving their acceptance letter. I called admissions a couple of days ago and they said they sent letters out on December 4th. I'm thinking I didn't get in ...

I interviewed on NOV 7th and received the acceptance call on the 17th. I would guess that anyone who didnt get a call then are probably being held back to the next cycle before they are reviewed. g'luck everyone!

after sending out your apps and letters how long did it take them to update that they received your files on the interact now thing? I sent both AZCOM and CCOM via priority mail for the secondary app, and by whatever my schools sends the letters. Anyways, i sent VCOM the same day as CCOM, and the interact now thing has yet to be updated, and my VCOM is complete. Granted Chicago is a bit further away, but its been more than enough time to make up for that.

The interact now system is kinda slow. I believed I had to call and make sure they were complete because the system is delayed (so interact now said they ddint' have it, but when i called they said they did). If you're pretty sure they have it now, you can call and make sure.

haha.. yeah i interviewed on wednesday also, and no i'm not the blond... i guess you were the one from pennsylvania?? wearing the long black wintercoat??
