Hello,
I know it is all going depend on what I prefer, but do most people attend lectures at CCOM during their first or second year? Some people have been telling me that it is better to study on your own then to attend lecture. They said that by not attending lecture they had to study like 8 hours a day. Can anyone please give their feedback? THANKS.

I'm just going to say this. You are going to get very little yield out of asking questions like this when you haven't even started yet. You are at the point in your life where you need to start figuring out what works for you and stop worrying about what other people are doing. If anyone else replies to this thread, you are likely to get a variable number of responses, none of which are necessarily applicable to you. My advice would be just to go to class for a while, study afterwards, and see if you feel like class is adding something to your experience. For some people, they need to hear the information in order to study more effectively later. Others are bored out of their minds and would better spend their time studying alone. Some like to study in groups. Some don't. See where I'm going with this????

It depends on your preference. Go to class for the first two months or so and then you will know the answer...

I have a friend that goes there and stopped going to lecture, now he is completely behind. Make sure if you stop going to class that you can keep up on your own.

Im an MSII at CCOM. Like Delicatefade said, its really up to you. I have a wife and live in the city. Some days I choose not to drive the 30-45 min. into campus and just study at home. it works for me, but i have several friends who go to every class. My advice: get to school. go to classes and take your first few tests. then decide how YOU need to study. I like to read the notes an the books sometimes, but otherwise find little need to sit through lectures. Others I know swear by attending class. Youll figure it out for yourself, not on these boards.
