sooooo how many ccs cases can you REALLY screw up and still pass?
I actually had 2 cases in which the procedure I ordered WAS NOT
what the computer did!! told the prometric people about it but that probably wont help at all.

I KNOW that I completely trashed 3 cases...did poor on 2 others..... no matter what, the patient showed no improvement......
I think i am screwed!

I can totally sympathize. I screwed up royally on 2 cases, and at best did sub par on another 2.

The most irritating thing to me is that the big mistakes I made are ones that would never ever happen in the real world. Just stupid stuff for test graders to count off for that were done out of order, or me not knowing exactly in which order a consulting service would actually do things.

I went into the exam thinking the multiple choice questions would be a step down from the difficulty of USMLE World questions. Unfortunately, I felt like they were just as hard or harder. I was marking at least a third to a half of each block, and guessing between at least 2 if not 3 choices on each of those marks.

In terms of difficulty this test was at a whole different level, I felt, compared to steps 1 & 2. Which is not what I had heard from all my friends who had taken it.

I am not one to get anxious over test results, but maybe that is because I dont usually have this feeling of dread over all the stuff that I know I screwed up. I definitely have some anxiety over these results.

I dont expect this post to help you feel better about things, but hopefully it helps you realize that you are not the only one that has messed up on this one.

So, while I can't be the voice of reassurance on this one, I hope someone else can be.

Has anyone else had experiences similar to these recently and still end up passing this exam?
