I folks, I am retaking DAT in 5 weeks and practicing PAT with CDP. My problem is I am not scoring above 18. I have taken 3 tests so far and have scored 18s on all of them. I would like to compare CDP scores of people who have taken DAT with their actual PAT scores. I would appreciate your response.

lol
i only took 3 CDP tests (and got around 16-18 in all of them)
then i took the Canadian DAT, and got a 21 on the PAT.
Perhaps I was a bit more careful on the real one? I do know the real DAT's questions are a bit easier (angles, cubes, and hole-punch), whereas TFE and Keyhole and Pattern were nearly the exact same difficulty

I'm bumping this thread because I'm in the same exact boat! I keep trying and trying..been trying for like 2 months now. Finally got CDP like a month ago and cant seem to get higher than 18. Today, I got a 20 but may just be luck. I always finish right on the dot. CDP Hole punching is sooo hard. Is it this hard on the real thing? Someone please tell me its not. I'm taking July 24, and I really want to do decent....

nope
CDP hole punching is much harder than real thing
the Cube Counting on CDP is also harder.

Having said that, the trick to holepunching (like cubes and angles) is doing it quickly so you can leave more time for the other stuff. So while the hole punching in CDP is harder, it is still significantly important to get good at them, so you can breeze through the DAT holes accurately and efficiently 🙂

I took all 10 CDP tests and scored 22 on the last 5 and got a 21 on the real thing. I found everything to be very consistent with my actual DAT, except hole punching they had some 1/3 paper folds with smaller holes that made it difficult. The last couple tests of the ten have pattern folding that is a little harder and more comparable to the real thing.

I took 4 out of the 5 that i bought. Got 21-22 on CDP and 25 on the real thing. Just keep practicing and during the real thing go with your gut feeling.
