I don't know if I agree with the general idea that an intensive upper level science class would be covered in a week of medical school. For example, my medical school offers waiver tests during orientation for the biochemistry and genetics classes. People do pass them and don't have to take these classes in medical school. Obviously their previous work covered more than one week in medical school if they're allowed to skip entire medical school classes.
The long story short here I guess is that an intensive class is probably more useful than a less intensive one, but also consider your personal circumstances. Will you be interviewing a lot? After you get accepted, do you think you would have trouble concentrating on a hard class? Etcetera.
