cell cycle

when it comes to cell cycle, we talk about G1, S, G2,M(mitosis) but I'm wondering where I should put meiosis?

isn't it after mitosis, so overall cell cycle should be, g1, s, g2,M, M ? am I wrong?

Meiosis and Mitosis fall under the M phase. In other words, the M phase can represent either meiosis or mitosis, depending on what the cell is doing.
