I am signing up for next year's courses (and I have to take the MCAT next spring....ugh). Would Cellular Physiology or Human Physiology better prepare you for the MCAT? Is there a big difference. I am inclined to do Cellular because it counts toward my degree, but also want to do well on MCATs. I'll have taken other "hidden prereqs" like genetics, cell biology, molecular biology and genetics by then, too.

Thanks!

I'm not sure what cellular physiology is? How is it different from Cell Bio?

I think Human Physiology would be better in terms of picking up stuff for the MCAT.

Not really sure what cellular phys is either, but I would lean toward human phys. A lot of the stuff on the bio section has to do with all the different organ systems (digestive, cardio, respiratory, excretory, etc.).

i have taken both in the past...and i think human phys is definitely more helpful in terms of understanding the mcat material

Couldn't agree more. Cellular phys goes into a lot of detail about hormonal mechanisms, and how that affects the cell, which for the most part is beyond the scope of the MCAT. Whereas a big chunk of the biological sciences section of the MCAT has human physiology related questions.
